Game Modes were added in 12/24/2019 to Horrific Housing as part of the Seasonal Christmas Update. Every time the game ends, one of 10 game modes would be selected by vote. Game Modes directly change the arrangement, size or number of Houses in a round.
List of Game Modes
There are a total of 10 Game Modes in Horrific Housing.
Before the 12/24/2019 update, all rounds would be classic. Now, it is chosen by voting. Houses in this game mode would be arranged in a 4x4 grid in the playing field. Players can jump from one plate to another by default and each player will have their own.
Plates will be arranged in the same manner as Classic, however, there will be no houses and the plate will have a length of 1x1. Note that you cannot jump plates without falling unless a merge occurs or you get a jump boost.
There is just one house. The house however is generated randomly from the houses made by the players. All players will spawn on said plate and all Plate Events will happen to this plate.
Houses will be randomly scattered around the playing field. All plates will not be on the same level, you may be able to jump from plate to plate this depends on where you spawn.
In the 2/19/2020 update, the scattered mode was changed to scatter the plates randomly both horizontally and vertically. This makes it even harder for players to go from plate to plate. This game mode was changed during the February Event a day: Day 5.
This mode is the same as classic mode except grass plates are replaced with slate plates and all players start with 1 health point. This means that players can die very easily and must be careful. This game mode was added as a daily game mode in February Event a day: Day 1.
This is the same as classic mode except the void is replaced with lava and it will rise every time a player dies. If you touch the lava you will be given the Burning effect and it will deal damage slowly until you have 40hp left. This game mode was added as a daily game mode in February Event a day: Day 3. Note: Acid Rain can destroy the lava.
This is the same as classic mode except the events happen faster. This game mode was added as a daily game mode in February Event a day: Day 4.
Every plate is stacked on top of each other. Players can jump down to the plates below but cannot reach the plates above unless they can fly. This game mode was added as a daily game mode in February Event a day: Day 5.
All of the plates are connected in a straight line. And when a player dies in this mode, their plate disappears. This game mode is similar to the February Event a day: Day 5 game mode Stacked except the plates are arranged horizontally rather than vertically. This game mode was added as a daily game mode in February Event a day: Day 6.
All the plates are connected in this mode by a road that goes throughout the map. The grass section would also be expanded as the game mode starts with the 'merged' effect. This game mode was added as a daily game mode in February Event a day: Day 7. All plates and houses remain present in this game mode. There is also a shop in this mode. There is a common glitch that when the Merged event happens, the road dissappears instead of the plates getting gigantic.
